After the death of her father, Elsie was left without a livelihood. The landlord evicted the girl from the house and she set off on a journey to seek happiness. Mr. Otter, the owner of the company where her father worked, once sent a letter in which he offered help to his former employee. But the company moved to a new building, the address of which Elsie did not know. Elsie decides to ask the cop.
Hank Ross, a handsome young man, returns home from his ranch. He wants to meet a woman who is ready to share his house and wealth with him. Seeing Elsie on the street, he decided that he had met the girl of his dreams. Approaching her with the purest intentions, Hank politely raises his hat and here he is grabbed by the cop's collar:
“I'll show you how to molest strangers!”
Elsie walks into the office for hire. There, an old lady offers her a maid place with a good salary. No sooner had the happy Elsie agreed to, when a woman from the Society for Struggling with the Imposing Work on the Girls flew up to her and carried her away. It is because of him that intoxication occurs, and, contributing to the spread of this insidious product, it will contribute to the physical and spiritual death of people.
Elsie sets off on. She comes across an advertisement for hiring a costume designer in the theater. Elsie is about to enter, but she is stopped by a man in black clothes, a minister of the church and warns not to enter the devil’s dressing room, a haven of sin and debauchery.
Elsie moves on and suddenly sees a sign from Mr. Otter's company. The owner greets her warmly and offers the place of a fashion model in a tailor shop. The girl is dressed in a chic robe from the Russian sable.
With the help of a policeman, a lady saving Girls from Work, an anti-alcoholic, a church minister, Elsie got to her friend and savior. While Elsie admires himself in the mirror, Mr. Otter orders a table in the double room, with a new girl, from whom you will lick your fingers ...
