And this book was written at the very height of the war, when each of the fighters on the front line, listening or reading about the fate of Vasily Terkin, believed in victory, a bright future and a peaceful sky above his head. It was these heroes who taught people not to give up, gave confidence that helped our people survive and defeat the enemy. Indeed, if the moral ties between people are strong, then even the hardest trials of war will not be able to break them. This work, truly, teaches us a lot to this day.
